You lost your ID. You've searched your side of the room,  but it's nowhere to be found--and you can't get into the building without it. You could search your roommate's side of the dorm...but they told you to keep out.

You've got a choice to make. Poke your nose where it shouldn't be, or risk another absence? Up to you.

Intention Statement:

My main focus with this is player choice and narrative impact. I would love feedback on whether or not it was emotionally moving, since I wasn't sure how to make it hit as hard as it could with the word cap. I mainly relied on repetition and what wasn't said as a way of conveying the environment. I don't think this should warrant any trigger warnings, but if there is something, please let me know and I'll add it in.

This is so strange and so good! As others have said, the aesthetic of this is really strong, and all of your drawings really add to the story. I'm going to keep trying...! The suspense is awesome. There are a few moments where the text effects make it hard to actually click the links, but otherwise, no notes!!

Hi Maitreyi, this game is SO COOL! I love the drawings you did and the bloody theme, especially when you die or something bad happens. It is really pleasant to see this flushed out. The puzzle itself is simple but leaves you with questions about the story you are in and why things are the way they are. You implemented really impressive coding and design work into this project and I can tell you went above and beyond. I think the ending of just giving up is nice and unexpected, especially after I already touched everything in the room. Amazing job!

I love the visuals and aesthetics of this game. I also really enjoyed that every time something 'off' happens, the screen has a flash of red. I find the ending a bit confusing as I can never figure out where or how to find the ID. But overall, I really enjoyed the graphics and narrative of this game.

The aesthetics of this game are incredible and they really help with unsettling the player. Finding a bunch of weird stuff in my roommates things also really makes me want to dig deeper and figure out whatever is it that my roommates has done!

The visuals in this game is truly fantastic, it's so polished, and really adds a lot to the tension. I love the idea of getting punished not to explore, cause games normally award the players to explore more, cause the devs have put more effort in the games and it's punishing the dev to see their work not being seen. I still want to check out how I'll die in this game though, it's very interesting. Maybe one thing you can think about is to include the name player input on the ID description. Great job!

I really loved the drawings! I think you created such a fun vibe with the color theme and art stye. Even though it's a game, I think that there were some great lessons in here like respecting other peoples belongings and to always double-check yourself before accusing other people of having your things.

The stylization of this is so cool. I don't even know how you did a bunch of this stuff but it is awesome. All of the illustrations/graphics/color changes/corrupt text add so much to the overall feel and atmosphere. The keep going/give up decision was a really great moment in this game, I feel like that was the point that had the most pressure for me personally. I think you have a great sense of style and did a really good job at guiding the player and giving us a sense of control with our decisions. I could feel the impact of each horrible decision I made.... awesome!

The illustrations of this game are very interesting and also reminded me not to touch the wires. This is a very interesting setting. I was surprised that I could choose the name myself. This must require a very hard-to-get code.

This is insanely cool omg... The horror aesthetic with the visuals and UI is insanely well done. I love how well your text and illustrations work together. This reminds me a lot of Signalis' general vibes, with how you have to explore through areas and objects. I would play a whole game like this in a heartbeat.

edit: I absolutely love the sense of dread you feel and I want to know so badly the full lore behind the roommate and you as the player :00 the small details of text glitching and glowing is so cool too...
